Two More

I finished two more layouts this afternoon. The first is for this months sketch challenge over at YMBD. Since we are going to Steelers draft day tomorrow, I decided to start scrapping the pics I already have of other draft days. This is from 07 when Shawn got to tour the locker room and try on Polamalu's pads and jersey. I used a YMBD journaling tag and he said/she said label.
This one is using this weeks sketch from over at 52 Sketches. I love the way style of clothes Tyler likes to pick for himself. He loves dress clothes- button up shirts, vests, ties, jackets. He has a favorite suit that he usually tries to wear at least every three days. Full suit- slacks, vest, and jacket. He would wear the tie, but the elastic snapped. He just has great taste. I used a YMBD vintage skinny journaling spot on here. And I love the two tone letters I cut for myself.

Last Thursday's Layouts

I just wanted to share the two layouts I started last week at CJ's.
On the first, I used an older pic of Tyler and Brittany. I have lots of everyday pics of them together, but wanted to do one that included journaling about the wonderful bond they share between the two of them. I used a sketch from Inspired Blueprints. The journaling spot, and labels are all YMBD products. The yes/no/maybe label and the word brad were both received from Kimmie in our stash swap.


The second layout is an old picture of Tyler that I love. His smile is so beautiful and so contagious. He is such a happy little boy. This is another sketch from Inspired Blueprints. The labels and journaling spot on here are also all YMBD. All the labels, journaling spot, word brad, and flower embellies were from Kimmie in our stash swap.

I hope to get busy soon and have more to share.

Easter Weekend

We had a very busy weekend here. We started off with tons of craziness on Saturday. We took Tyler to an Easter Egg Hunt in the morning. Then we came back home so I could finish making my candy. Shawn took Tyler outside to play while he was replacing the motor thing on the power window of my car cause it wouldn't roll up all the way. I had just brought Tyler in for some hot chocolate when I heard Shawn start screaming outside that we had to go to the emergency room. The spring loaded piece on the motor had released and caught his pointer finger knuckle and went clean through to the bone. So off we go to the er for the next five hours. That was crazy. Five hours to get stitches. We walked in dripping blood everywhere and he had already stopped bleeding by the time they got around to him. I finally got back home and situated to finish the candy around nine thirty. By that time it was so late I couldn't even say forget and just go buy some. So candy consumed me until four am.

But it was worth it when I watched everyone's faces when they got it.

We had a very busy Easter day. We visited my fathers family, then my mothers family, then back to our house for dinner here, we took dinner to Shawn's father, then to my grandmother and great-grandmother. I love the holidays, but sometimes I also love when they are over, lol.

My layout

Now to share one of my layouts. I used this weeks sketch at the 52 sketches, 52 weeks blog. I also used alot of YMBD products on this layout. I used a white nested circle, a oh my that's bright journaling tag, three your life labels, and a blue gear. The words "my", "is", and "an" were cut on my Groove-E.

I also went to my first local scrapbook meetup today and had alot of fun. I met a couple of the members and think it will be nice to be able to get together IRL to scrap. I hope to make it again next week.
