End of the month entries

I finished two more layouts today to end the June monthly challenges. I originally thought I was going to be able to make these two fit 10 challenges, but it only ended up being nine.

This is a layout of a pic I took of Tyler and Britt after her band concert. Shawn was taking forever in McDonald's and I was taking pictures to keep Tyler busy, but I love how this one turned out. I used a sketcj from Inspired Blueprints, the YMBD June challenge to scrap a smile, BASB monochromatic layout, and it worked for the ScrapWhispers no cs challenge, but I missed the deadline by a few days, lol. But I like how it turned out.
These are pics of Tyler at Erik's birthday party. That was the first birthday party he was ever invited to as a friend. He had so much fun. This one was for the Coordinates Collection challenge to use something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. It also fit the Scrapjazz challenge to use 4 pps, 4 photos, 4 buttons, and 4 flowers. It also worked for Mixer #23- to use four pics, four manufactures, handwritten journaling, and flowers. It worked for the June MTS challenge to use 3-d adhesive as I used pop dots under the flowers. And this was based off of the second June sketch at Scrpability sketches. Also, the vellum journaling tag and shrink plastic flower are from YMBD so I entered it in the monthly product parade there.

All in all, not a bad way to end the month.

Big Update

Wow, it has been a long time since I actually completed and uploaded a layout. So I got caught up today.

Tyler really loved the Home Depot kids workshop. Shawn tried to teach him how to use the hammer correctly. This is for the June dads and grads challenge at Coordinates Collections. This is a kit from Coordinate Collections and the journaling spots are YMBD.
This is one of Shawn and his dad at Heinz Field. I used a sketch from Triple The Sketch.
This is a double dip. I used a sketch from YMBD and it also fit the criteria for Scrap The Boys. The gears and journaling tag are YMBD. This was accomplished at Beth's on Thursday.
These are pics of Tyler on his Diego bike. I used a sketch from Let's Scrap. The journaling tags, foam letters, and borders on the pics are YMBD.
Tyler always says he is all shiny after he gets a bath. And he always has to use Brittany's pink glitter towel. This is a sketch from Got Sketch?. The journaling tag is YMBD.
This is an old 52 weeks sketch that I didn't get done in time. Tyler told me he needed a big baloooga bubble bath like Max and Ruby. And then when he was in, he said he was addicted to bubbles. The journaling spots are YMBD.

Tyler loves helping Shawn with anything, and planting flowers was definitely something he wanted to help with. He loved that we planted the flower he brought me for mother's day from preschool. The scketch is from Scrapability Sketches. The journaling spot is YMBD.

This is the layout I did for the first week of the 92 days of summer challenge over at YMBD.

Tyler always tries to do anything Brittany is doing, and she is so patient with him. The sketch is from COSter's Stylish Sketches. The journaling spot and label are YMBD.

Another old 52 weeks sketch.

A little update

I have been bad about posting lately, so I just wanted to throw on a quick update with the bookmarks I did a couple weeks ago for Tyler's preschool teachers. I made one for each teacher with the first letter of their name on it. I also added magnets to the back so they could throw them on the fridge if they are not readers or are in between books. It made Tyler so happy to help pick colors and which teacher was goin to get which one.

Wow! Busy weekend!

Thursday was Brittany's last day of school, so we decided to give Tyler Friday off too. We were going to go to lunch with some friends of mine, but that fell through, so we decided to just do some fun stuff. We went to the park in the afternoon. I got a ton of pictures of them, but haven't uploaded them yet. Then Britt went to here dad's and Shawn and I took Tyler to a local car show. He really had a blast cause he saw a car that had raced on his favorite tv show- Pinks. That really impressed him.

Then we got up Saturday morning and went to the Touch-A-Truck event at the park. They had all kinds of trucks and vehicles the kids could climb in, beep the horns on, and just have a ton of fun. Here are a few pics from there.

Tyler after he buckled himself into the back seat of the police car.
Tyler when he was playing with the police car siren.
Tyler playing with the microphone in the radio station van.
Beeping the horn in the mail car.
The tractor tire that was bigger than Tyler.

We ran into CJ and Andrew out there and ended up heading back to her house after lunch to help get stuff ready for Erik's birthday party the next day. Tyler had so much fun. He stayed overnight at my mom's and she said he slept good that night.
On Saturday I had to run to pick Britt up from her dad's because she had to play with the marching band at commencement for the high school. After dropping her off, we ran to Boardman to pick up something for Erik, then picked Tyler up on the way to the party. We spent the rest of the day out there and everyone had a ton of fun.
Thankfully, today was kinda a day to catch up. Britt had an MRI on her shoulder this morning so we are waiting for the results from that. But not much else today.

I won!

I just read that I won the Monthly Kit Challenge over at Coordinates Collections! I am so excited. All you have to do to enter is upload a layout created with ANY of their monthly kits. I really loved all the papers in this kit. I think I am going to use the rest of it and order another.
